a battery pack (3 AA batteries).  The front corner of the canvas has a hidden on/off button.  When the switch is turned on the tiny lights in the background gently flash and give the appearance of falling snow.  The power pack also lights the candle inside the lantern. pack (requires 3 AA batteries) hidden behind the front canvas.

Gently tap the side of the canvas to activate the lights.

The painted canvas wraps around the edges of the wood frame
